Topic outline

  • Creating Gender Responsive Learning Environments

    Introduction

This course will focus on ground realities around gender through an educational lens. You will spend a significant amount of time understanding gender inequity and the specific challenges that girl students face. In Module A, you will learn about conducting gender surveys and collecting data. In Module B, you will reflect on the current context and learn about preparing support plans for students at-risk of dropping out. Finally, since this is not only about getting re-enrolling students back in school but also keeping them there in the long run, in Module C, you will look at how you can work towards building a gender responsive school - one that recognizes the needs of girl students and creates a safe and nurturing space for them.

Each module consists of 3 sessions and will take four to six hours to complete.

    • Module A - Understanding Gender Inequity
    • Module B - Support Learners at-risk and Preventing Dropout
    • Module C - Gender Responsive School
